The Warm Home Discount Scheme

The Warm Home Discount Scheme gives a one-off payment of £150 to electricity customers who are potentially struggling to pay their energy bills during the cold winter months.

This year in England and Wales, if you’re eligible for the payment, you don’t need to apply.

Government changes introduced this year in England and Wales mean that, if you’re eligible to receive the £150 payment, you don’t need to apply.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will write to you from November 2022 if you qualify for the Warm Home Discount – Core Group 1 or Core Group 2 rebate.

This letter will contain any next steps you may need to take to receive the rebate.

Warm Home Discount Scheme – Broader Group – Scotland

The Warm Home Discount Scheme is a one–off payment of £150 for electricity consumers to deliver support to persons on low–income and who are vulnerable to cold–related illness or living wholly or mainly in fuel poverty.

If you are eligible for the Guarantee Credit component of Pension Credit on the qualifying date of 13^th August 2023, you will be automatically eligible for the Warm Home Discount – Core Group 1 rebate and you won’t need to apply.

To receive the Warm Home Discount – Broader Group rebate, you must apply by 28^th February 2024. This should only be if you do not meet the eligibility criteria for the Warm Home Discount – Broader Group 1 rebate.

Terms and Conditions

As part of The Warm Home Discount – Broader Group for Scotland (hereinafter referred as ‘the Scheme’) we will provide a £150 (including VAT) rebate on the energy bill of eligible households in Scotland. The rebate will be applied by way of a credit to the energy account.
The Scheme is open to households if:
1. Your eligible household is in Scotland and takes its current domestic electricity supply from us and continues to do so until the rebate has been paid.
2. You or any other named individual, are the Outfox The Market (OTM) electricity account/dual fuel account holders living at the property and meet the Qualification Criteria as set forth in the Application Form.
If you are an individual in an eligible household, you may make an application to receive a rebate under the Scheme if you, or any other named individual, are the OTM electricity account/dual fuel account holder and currently receive at least one of the seven benefit combinations, listed on the Application Form.
Only one application for a rebate may be made per eligible household.
We reserve the right to close the application process earlier of:
1. The provision of a rebate to the first 792 eligible households whose applications we receive during the period from 1st October 2023 until 31st March 2024.
2. 28th February 2024, or any such earlier time that we may deem to be appropriate.
We reserve the right to modify any of these terms and conditions during the course of the Scheme year (1st October 2023 to 31st March 2024).
You agree to provide us with documentary evidence from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to show that you fulfil the eligibility criteria. Any such documentatary evidence must be dated no earlier than 1st April 2023.
You acknowledge and agree that in order for us to check you eligibility for the Scheme that:
1. We may ask DWP for the information required to check or confirm your eligibility and/or
2. DWP may share this information with us.
For us to confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria or are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefit combinations listed on the Application Form, you acknowledge and agree to:
1. Grant us permission to disclose your information to us. You also agree that we may contact you to provide your documentary evidence or information for verification purposes, and you agree to sharing your information with us for processing your data for the purposes of this Scheme, including without limitation, verification.
You acknowledge that we may use the information you provided to us to process your application and provide you with the rebate.
You acknowledge and agree that we may store your information until the 31st December 2026 or otherwise required by law or any regulatory requirement.
In these terms and conditions ‘we/us/our/OTM’ means Foxglove Energy Supply Limited (Registered Company number: 09689035) and ‘you/your’ means the person making an application under this Scheme.
You agree to these terms and conditions by submitting an application.

The statement below needs to be read by and agreed with the person in receipt of the qualifying benefits:

I consent to you (OTM) sending my details to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) so that they can confirm that I am in receipt of a qualifying benefit.
In order for us (OTM) to confirm my eligibility, I agree to provide OTM with documentary evidence which could include bank statements dated no earlier than 1st April 2023.
I agree that by submitting this form I declare that I meet our eligibility criteria for the scheme.
In addition to the documentary evidence, I also undertake to provide OTM an explanation, if asked for, as to how I meet the eligibility criteria.
